About Me.

I have always been intrigued by design and my interest in the creative fields led me to pursue a Bachelor degree in Fashion Design at NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology, Hyderabad). Apart from being introduced to various apparel techniques I was also encouraged to incorporate traditional textile techniques in my design processes. I kept exploring different fields in apparel through industry internships at design houses like Rahul Mishra and Pero and export houses like JJ Impo. Expo. and Radnik Exports. Interest in creative textile techniques along with skill in pattern making for creating unique silhouettes led me to join designer Amit Aggarwal in 2019. In my 3.5 years of working there I not only learnt the nitty gritty of the couture and luxury industry but also realized my particular interest in creating textiles. This led me to pursue a Masters degree at NID (National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad) specializing in Textile design. I now am exploring areas of design that overlap apparel and textiles. Craft research & documentation, circular fashion, design academia, handlooms and handicrafts, etc. are few of my interest areas!
